WIN Sets 3x Record with a Total of Over 18 Million Leva Raised on Bulgaria’s BEAM Market

13 May 2025

The capital increase of the investment company WIN (Webit Investment Network) concluded with historic success, having attracted 12,154,652 leva and set an absolute record on the BEAM market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. More than 250 current and new shareholders participated in the offering, along with institutional investors (mutual funds), and the capital raised is over 2 times larger in size than the largest offerings on the BEAM market to date.

“Raising such an amount mainly from individual investors is unprecedented and a clear example of the power of the Trust Economy. WIN shows that innovative companies with global ambitions can successfully attract public funding. This is further proof of the maturity of Bulgarian investors and the importance of the BEAM market, for the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the Bulgarian economy as a whole,” commented Associate Professor Dr. Manyu Moravenov, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

“The interest in WIN’s public offering was extremely high even during its initial public offering in 2022, which was oversubscribed by more than 2.4 times, with participation from over 750 investors on the BSE,” said Angel Rabadzhijski, Executive Director of Karoll, the investment intermediary that serviced the IPO and the capital increase procedure of WIN.

“The success of this increase is historic for the BSE and a significant contribution to it is the innovative financial model through which WIN provides access to small investors to investments in global fast-growing companies, which are typically available only to the largest global funds and a very limited circle of wealthy individuals. Attracting capital of such size in times of global economic and geopolitical instability is a testament to the quality and prospects of WIN’s investment portfolio, as well as the trust that market participants have placed in the company and its founder, Dr. Plamen Russev,” added Rabadzhijski.

“Part of our mission is to be a bridge between the ordinary investor and global technology champions and to generally improve the financial and investment culture in the country. That is why from today we are opening the doors even wider to the WIN Investors Club on Viber and we invite both our investors and anyone who would like to gain exclusive access, information, and knowledge about the global world of investments,” commented Dr. Plamen Russev, founder and executive member of the Board of Directors of WIN.

WIN has demonstrated impressive results since its creation:

  • A portfolio of companies with over 230% consolidated revenue growth in the first 24 months, placing WIN among the top 1% of investment companies globally
  • Impressive profit of over 1.2 million leva already in its second full financial year – rare for VC-type investment companies
  • Liquidity champion on the BSE with 25% over the last 12 months, providing investors seamless access to their investments

The newly raised capital of over 12 million leva will be strategically invested both in existing portfolio companies and in new technological champions with global potential. The increase was announced at a price below market value, before the portfolio had fully reflected its potential, which gave investors a unique opportunity to participate.

"The uniqueness of what WIN does is that it combines the best of both worlds – the transparency, accessibility, and liquidity of public markets and the highest-yielding asset class, based on the 18-year global success of Webit and access to some of the best and most successful deals in the world of fast-growing companies," added Dr. Plamen Russev.

A BRIDGE BETWEEN BULGARIAN INVESTORS AND GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY CHAMPIONS

WIN has established itself as the only investment company of its kind in Bulgaria, providing access for large and small investors to elite investment opportunities traditionally reserved for megafunds and institutional players.

The company co-invests with leading global funds such as DCVC, Rabobank, 500 Startups, the World Bank (IFC), and dozens of others in technology companies with global potential, selected among thousands of applicants from over 150 countries through a 5-step selection process during the Founders Games – a global Webit platform held during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

One of the emblematic moments in the company’s international recognition came when Nasdaq used it’s iconic facade on Times Square in New York City for a special tribute to Webit for its role in developing innovation and entrepreneurship on global scale.
